Raymond A. Cuthbert Comments ERB-APA #51: A Reply

Raymond A. Cuthbert - I have read The Greystoke Affair and have enjoyed it immensely. Your tremendous Tarzan lore and the fact that the adventure takes place on the earth as we know it, have made it easily acceptable for me. In my opinion, it is much better than Barton Werper's Tarzan series, John Bloodstone's Tarzan At Mars' Core, and XXX Tarzan, Jane And Jungle Lust. I would add it right along with Fritz Liber's Tarzan And The Valley Of Gold.

There were some minor things that crept in. I felt there were too many different characters to keep up with. I did not like your presentation of Korak. I feel you have belittled his character. It almost has a Batman and Robin feel, especially if you add the butler. When the characters speak it is always Tarzan said, Jane said, Korak said. You didn't have enough alternate descriptions such as the grey-eyed giant, the golden-haired lady, the quick-moving muscled giant, type stuff. Regardless, it was extremely good, and be very proud of it. I am.
