David Arthur Adams - I would like to make a quick little comment about Chris Ellsbury's Tarzan's cabin door note. You can not accurately decipher the cabin door note unless you also read Jungle Tales Of Tarzan which occurs just before that note writing. The truth is, the actual letter printed in Tarzan Of The Apes is by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the author, and not by Tarzan. How do I know?

In the language of the Mangani Tar-zan means, "White-skin." Although the ape boy's name is White-skin he does not write White-skin in English letters. In Jungle Tales Of Tarzan, we learn the ape boy has deduced his written name as He-boy because of pictures in his primers. Also from that same passage, we discover that instead of actually writing He-boy, Tarzan actually wrote his name as Bumudomutumuro. Therefore, if anyone has a letter from Tarzan, age twenty and under, the letter will be signed Bumudomutumuro of the Apes, not Tarzan of the Apes, White-skin of the Apes, or He-boy of the Apes.
