Joe Ferrier Comments ERB-APA #76: A Reply

JOE FERRIER - I forgot to ask you something about your 'tryst theory' last issue. You said that when Jane discovered she was pregnant in Baltimore she (along with Professor Porter, Mr. Philander, and Esmeralda according to Tarzan Of The Apes) went to the Porters' summer home in Wisconsin. There, according to you, Tarzan's illegitimate son was born. The question I have is about William Cecil Clayton and Robert Canler who followed Jane to Wisconsin. Both men wanted to marry Jane. The two were competing against one another for her hand in both Baltimore and Wisconsin. Are you implying (a) neither man knew she was pregnant, (b) neither man cared if she was pregnant, (c) or had both men made out with her and both thought the baby might be theirs? And how about Rokoff, did he score too? Joe, maybe your theory should be called 'Jane's Global Lust'.

Still love your Phil Farmer chronology habits. If it doesn't fit, it's fiction, cut the events out. Did you read Tarzan's letter in James Van Hise's contribution? I don't think I would go overboard on Phil Farmer's dating. Thanks again for contributing way more than your share. Until the next issue.
